170-Gallon Rated Capacity

Every XWFE water filter 3 pack cartridge provides up to 170 gallons of filtration. The filter is designed for replacement approximately every six months, although actual replacement timing can vary with water quality and usage.

RFID Identification

The XWFE RFID filter uses an RFID sensor to communicate with compatible refrigerator controls. The system can recognise the installed filter and provide information about its remaining filter life.

LeakDetect Technology

The GE XWFE filter uses Leak-Detecting Sensing Technology on supported refrigerators. If the filter becomes wet and a leak is detected, the refrigerator can deactivate the water valve to help prevent further water flow.

70+ Impurity Reduction

The GE XWFE refrigerator filter is certified to reduce 70+ impurities, including lead, chlorine taste and odour, PFOA/PFOS, microplastics and selected pharmaceuticals. It uses carbon block filtration to provide treated water and ice in compatible refrigerators.

Replaces XWF

The GE XWFE replacement filter is backwards compatible with refrigerators that use the previous XWF filter. GE states that the XWFE keeps the same basic size, shape, assembly and installation design as XWF.
