Sub-Zero Air Purification Cartridge Replacement 7042798 Filter 2-Pack

Keep your compatible Sub-Zero refrigerator’s air purification system supplied with replacement cartridges using this Sub-Zero 7042798 2-pack. Each pack contains two air purification cartridges designed for refrigerators equipped with Sub-Zero’s built-in air purification system. The system helps manage ethylene gas and unwanted odors inside the refrigerator, supporting a fresher storage environment for everyday groceries.

If your existing cartridge is labeled 7042798 or 7007067, this replacement may be the option you need. Sub-Zero identifies 7042798 as the direct replacement for the previous part number 7007067. Check your refrigerator model and existing cartridge before ordering to confirm compatibility.

How the Air Purification Cartridge Works

Helps Manage Ethylene Gas

Fresh fruits and vegetables can release ethylene gas, a naturally occurring compound associated with ripening. Sub-Zero's air purification system is designed to help remove ethylene from the refrigerator's air.

Helps Reduce Unwanted Odors

The system also helps manage odors inside the refrigerator, making the air purification cartridge an important part of maintaining the appliance's intended performance.

Designed for Sub-Zero Air Purification Systems

The 7042798 cartridge is intended for compatible Sub-Zero refrigerators that were manufactured with an air purification system. It is not a universal refrigerator filter and does not filter drinking water.

Convenient Two-Cartridge Supply

The two-pack provides a spare cartridge for a future replacement. Each cartridge has its own service life, so replace it according to the refrigerator's indicator or the applicable owner’s manual rather than assuming both cartridges will last for a fixed number of years.

Compatible Sub-Zero Refrigerator Series

The 7042798 is used in compatible models from these series when equipped with an air purification system:

• Classic Series (BI and CL)
• Designer Series (IC, IT, DET, DEC, and selected ID drawer models)
• PRO3650 and PRO4850

Important: Only the ID-30RP and ID-36RP drawer models have the air purification system; ID-30R and ID-36R models do not. Not every Sub-Zero refrigerator includes this system.

Replacement and Maintenance

Sub-Zero advises replacing the air purification cartridge when the indicator begins flashing or after approximately one year.

For models using the cartridge-and-cover design, installation generally involves opening the cartridge compartment, removing the old cartridge, inserting the new cartridge with its connector pointing downward, and closing the covers. Follow the instructions for your specific model. Some models also require resetting the air purification indicator after installation.
